After the movie became a blockbuster hit, people from many other language indusries began clamoring for the remake rights and the Telugu version got underway with Victory Venkatesh reprising Dhanush's role! Asuran's producer Kalaipuli S Thanu himself is bankrolling the Telugu remake Naarappa under his V Creations banner in association with D Suresh Babu's Suresh Productions Pvt. Ltd. banner!

The team has issued a press release with some important details about the ongoing shoot schedule! The Naarappa team began shooting at Paalturu village, in Uruvakonda, in the Anantapur district. Now, the Naarappa team is shooting for some action sequences with action choreographer Peter Hein, in the forest regions of Kurumalai, in Tamil Nadu. After this schedule, the unit will head back to Anantapur and continue the schedule there. Sreekanth Addala is directing this Telugu remake, which has Syam K Naidu's cinematography and Mani Sharma's music.

Marthand K Venkatesh is handling the editing of Naarappa, which is the 74th movie in Victory Venkatesh's career.
