Popular Tamil actor Nitish Veera succumbed to Covid 19 virus and his death has come as a shocker for the Tamil film industry. He was just 45 years old when he breathed his last. Nitish tested positive for Covid 19 a few days before and he was admitted for medical treatment at Omandurar Multi Super Speciality Hospital in Chennai. The fans and film personalities are sharing their heartfelt condolence messages on social media. Vishnu Vishal who acted with Nitish in Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, took to his official Twitter page to mourn his demise.

Vishnu Vishal tweeted, "#RIPNitishVeera It pains to write this... Acted with him in #Vennilakabbadikuzhu and #MaaveranKittu.. This covid second wave is taking away so many lives.. Be careful and keep your loved ones really close to you...". Director Selvaraghavan also mourned the loss of actor Nitish Veera by posting a picture from Pudhupettai in which Nitish acted in a crucial role. Pudhupettai gave the first breakthrough for Nitish Veera and he was seen in the role of Mani, Kokki Kumar's friend and Selvi's (Sonia Agarwal) elder brother. The fans can never forget the sequence between Dhanush and Nitish Veera after the wedding. Selvaraghavan tweeted, "REST IN PEACE MY "MANI ".

His last memorable performance was in the Vetri Maaran directorial, Asuran in which he played the character of Pandiyan. He played the negative character which appears in the flashback portions and despite being a relatively smaller role, he left a solid impact with his performance. Actress Ammu Abhirami who shared screen space with Nitish in Asuran took to her official Twitter page to share a heartfelt note. She tweeted, "#Asuran #Nitishveera Shattered to hear that Nitish Anna is no more ,very shocking ,such a wonderful and caring co artist , never expected this , May his soul rest in peace".

Nitish Veera's notable films include Pudhupettai, Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, Sindhanai Sei, Kaala, Peranbu, Airaa, Raatchasi, Asuran, etc. He will next be seen acting in Vijay Sethupathi's Laabam, directed by late filmmaker SP Jhananathan.
