The long wait has finally come to an end today as Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan's King of Kotha teaser has been released today and it is an absolute action feast from start to finish. The visuals in this first big glimpse from the upcoming period gangster drama revolve around Dulquer and a place called Kotha where his word is the rule. We witness fiery and high-voltage action sequences in the King of Kotha teaser, including several other characters in the story starting from Ponniyin Selvan fame Aishwarya Lekshmi, who is playing the female lead, followed by Prasanna, Sarpatta Parambarai star Dancing Rose Shabeer, Nyla Usha, Chemban Vinod, Gokul Suresh, Shammi Thilakan, Shanthi Krishna, Viswasam actress Anikha Surendran, and Vada Chennai fame Saran appearing in key roles.
Directed by debutant Abhilash Joshy based on a story and screenplay written by Abhilash N. Chandran, King of Kotha has been a big film in the making shot across several prominent locations, including major schedules being carried out in Karaikudi, Rameswaram, and Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu. The highly-anticipated film produced by Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films in association with Zee Studios is one of the most-awaited films in Malayalam cinema history and is also coming out as a grand pan-Indian venture in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada languages.
Although the King of Kotha teaser doesn't reveal much of Dulquer, it no doubt has satisfied his fans, who expect him to come out with a powerful performance in the film. The music by Jakes Bejoy is also another major highlight and his work in the teaser alone deserves appreciation. Announced in 2021, King of Kotha marks Zee Studios' debut in Malayalam cinema, and is scheduled to open in cinemas on the festive occasion of Onam in August this year.
