Trisha Krishnan's second big film release of 2023 titled The Road is gearing up for a grand release. Touted to be a revenge action thriller, the upcoming film based on real-life incidents on the highways of Tamil Nadu is also the leading Tamil actress' first big release after the stupendous triumph of Ponniyin Selvan and has now been announced to open in cinemas worldwide on October 6. A special intriguing video promo has been released for The Road release date announcement showing Trisha all serious and walking on the corridor/balcony of a building while looking back in an intense manner.
The buzz for The Road has been quite positive ever since the project went on floors in early 2022, which marks debutant filmmaker Arun Vaseegaran's directorial debut produced under the AAA Cinemaa Private Limited banner. The film will see Trisha sharing screen space with Sarpatta Parambarai fame 'Dancing Rose' Shabeer Kallarakkal and Santhosh Prathap, while Miya George, MS Bhaskar, Vivek Prasanna, Vela Ramamoorthy, Laxmi Priya and others will be seen in pivotal roles, with music composed by Sam C. S.
Trisha will aim for the bullseye with The Road and keep the momentum going after the massive box office and critical success of the Ponniyin Selvan films, which saw her portray the role of 'Ilaiya Piratti' Kundavai. Likewise, she will be looking to come out firing on all cylinders ahead of Leo's release on October 19 in which she is pairing with 'Thalapathy' Vijay once again 15 years after their previous collaborations Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006), and Kuruvi (2008). Based on the latest glimpse, we can expect an action-packed trailer in the days ahead and fans will no doubt want to see Trisha come out all guns blazing with The Road.
