Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan was reported to have been admitted to the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai for an angioplasty on Friday. With the news taking social media by storm, the celebrated Hindi actor was later in the day spotted at the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) finals match in the city where he addressed a fan's query about his health. The fan asked, "Amit ji, take care. How are you? All fine?", with Amitabh Bachchan responding that he is doing good saying, "Fake news", and thus shutting down te latest rumors about his health. 

Amitabh Bachchan also took to his blog at 2 a.m. on Saturday to open up about his experience during the ISPL finals between the Tigers of Kolkata and Majhi Mumbai. The actor who was accompanied by his son Abhishek Bachchan was also spotted having a conversation with Sachin Tendulkar at the stadium. Although Majhi Mumbai went on to be defeated, Amitabh acknowledged the opposing team and vowed to come back roaring once again next season. The actor also went on to share about being swarmed by the crowds amid compromised security outside the stadium. Amitabh wrote on his blog, "Got stuck at the entrance gate for over an hour .. just immobile .. crowds in their enthusiasm and mobbing did not give us even an inch to move .. and by the time compromised security could get us through our batting innings was over .. and we knew the score was dismal."

Amitabh Bachchan was also all praise for son Abhishek writing, "However .. the spirit of sportsmanship should never be overshadowed by defeat .. and the grace shown by Abhishek in meeting all the players soon after the game was over was hugely appreciated .. not just our team but congratulated the Kolkata team as well." On the work front, Amitabh who was last seen in the Tiger Shroff-starrer Ganapath (2023), is cast in a crucial role in Telugu superstar Prabhas' upcoming sci-fi action film, Kalki 2898 - AD, which also stars iconic Tamil actor 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, among others under Mahanati (2018) fame Nag Ashwin's direction.
