The wait has come to an end for leading Tamil actor Ajith Kumar's fans everywhere as the first big announcement for his next film, the tentatively titled AK 63, is now out. On Thursday evening, March 14, the makers of the upcoming project dropped a happy news for the superstar's fans everywhere that the film is titled Good Bad Ugly, while also confirming that Adhik Ravichandran, who hit the bullseye with Mark Antony (2023), is the director. The buzz surrounding Good Bad Ugly has been massive ever since it was revealed last year that there were plans for both Ajith and Adhik to join hands and this latest title announcement has no doubt sent fans into celebration mode.

Ajith, who is at present filming the highly-anticipated VidaaMuyarchi under Magizh Thirumeni's direction, is teaming up with Adhik Ravichandran for the first time in Good Bad Ugly, which has also been announced to be coming out in theatres worldwide as a grand Pongal 2025 release. There is tremendous excitement already surrounding the film, which will also feature songs and a background score by Devi Sri Prasad, who has been on a signing spree after he won the National Award for his work in Telugu superstar Allu Arjun's Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1 (2021). Ajith and Adhik have also roped in a technically strong team for their Good Bad Ugly, which will include cinematographer Abinandan Ramanujam, editor Vijay Velukutty, costume designer Anu Vardhan, stunt choreographer 'Supreme' Sundar, and action director Kaloian Vodenicharov to name a notable few.

Announced to begin filming this June, Ajith's Good Bad Ugly has borrowed its title from Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood's The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966), and is no doubt the Tamil film's biggest USP already. Having made his filmmaking debut in Trisha Illana Nayanthara (2015), Adhik, who also directed films Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan (2017) and Bagheera (2023), has often expressed his admiration for Ajith revealing himself to be a die-hard fan of the Tamil actor. With AK 63's title now announced to be Good Bad Ugly, all sights will be on Ajith to come out firing all cylinders in the film as well as VidaaMuyarchi, which is gearing up for a massive release this year.
