A fan page put up a post on X today discussing the qualities that the leading actress' future husband must possess, which claimed that the person must be "very daring" like "VD". The post has caught everyone's attention as the letters VD also happens to hint at Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda.
Responding to the fan club's post, Rashmika, who is labeled as the National Crush of India, wrote, "That's very true", along with a grinning face with smiling eyes and red heart emojis. For a while now, there have been rumors about Rashmika and Vijay Deverakonda being in a relationship, and this latest reaction by the actress has left many on social media expressing their excitement. The popular on-screen duo's relationship rumors have often popped up ever since they collaborated in Geetha Govindam (2018) and Dear Comrade (2019). However, both Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika have constantly over the years expressed mutual respect and also sometimes share their support for each other whenever a project is announced.

On the work front, Rashmika Mandanna will be reprising her role as Srivalli in Telugu superstar Allu Ajrun's Pushpa 2: The Rule releasing in theatres worldwide on August 15. She also has a number of exciting projects in various stages of development like the Tamil-Telugu bilingual Rainbow, followed by The Girlfriend in Telugu, and the Hindi period drama Chava with Vicky Kaushal, who will be portraying Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Vijay Deverakonda, on the other hand, will be seen next in the much awaited Family Star opposite Mrunal Thakur under Parasuram's direction. He is currently also attached to Telugu filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri's tentatively titled VD 12, which is touted to be a spy film, and will see him paired with Sreeleela.
