Popular Malayalam television and film actress Gowri Krishna has announced her engagement to director Manoj of Pournamithinkal serial fame by sharing a few photos from the occasion on social media. In the pictures, we see the actress looking gorgeous in a traditional yellow-pink kasavu saree, while the groom is his dashing best in a white kurta. Congratulatory messages and wishes are pouring in for Gowri and Manoj after the couple's engagement photos were shared online, with TV stars most notably Devi Chandana and Dhanya Mary Varghese, including a few others seen at the event and blessing them. Apart from the engagement photos, Gowri also shared a video of her pre-engagement shoot and the actress looks absolutely adorable.
Gowri has been a popular face among Malayalam audiences having made appearances in several television shows over the years. Having made her acting debut in the 2011 Malayalam film Traffic, she landed the lead role in the TV serial Aniyathi, which aired for nearly a year and for more than 100 episodes. She next played the lead role on the Asianet serial Kana Kanmani, which enjoyed a short run. Gowri also appeared as supporting characters on shows like Mamangam, Seetha and is currently playing a crucial role in Kaiyethum Doorath, which is being telecast on Zee Keralam.
The biggest moment of triumph for Gowri Krishnan came after she landed the lead role on Asianet serial, Pournamithinkal, which aired more than 500 episodes before it went off the air last year. Playing the titular character Pournami, she struck a chord with the audience with her striking chemistry opposite her co-star Vishnu V Nair, who was her on-screen husband. Incidentally, Gowri met her fiance Manoj on the sets of Pournamithinkal, who has been the director of the show for more than 400 episodes.
