Acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Mysskin is debuting as a music composer in his younger brother Aathityaa's upcoming film, Devil, scheduled for a theatrical release on February 2. The hit director recently sat down with Galatta for an exclusive interview to talk about the film, while also sharing his thoughts on the speculations surrounding Tamil superstar Vijay's political entry. Having shared screen space with Vijay in the box office blockbuster Leo (2023), Mysskin reacted about his possible entry in the political arena saying, "I have absolutely no interest in that. I've known him for 25 years. He treated me with so much affection when we met after so many years. When you say something about a person in public, how else can you praise him? When a newly-married couple seeks your blessings at their wedding, you will express your wish for them to stay happy together for a hundred years, right? I wish that person to live for a hundred years. My dear brother has been so authentic with me."

Speaking about Vijay, who is fondly addressed by his fans as 'Thalapathy', Mysskin also said, "Crores of people love him and pray for his well-being. Let him live happily. If he's coming to politics, what will I do? Everybody has the right to enter politics. Why should we worry about it? Let anyone come to the fore. You too take a step forward. I'm clear about not venturing into that space. I'm extremely clear about what not to do in life more than what I should do. I'm clear about not entering politics."

Mysskin further stated, "Now, Udhay (Udhayanidhi Stalin) has come. I've worked with Udhay. I've seen Udhay with my own eyes how much he worked during campaigning. He wouldn't sleep. Now, I'm seeing him carry all the activities wonderfully. He's taking up so many responsibilities and initiating them. Whenever I call him, he wouldn't have the time to speak with me. He would be attending to his duties. I'd talk to my sister (Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi) and inform her if I had anything to convey. So, if Vijay is coming to politics tomorrow, let him. What is it to me? When I vote, this society has given me the right to choose whom to cast my vote for through that vote and I'm keeping it a close guarded secret. I wish to live without any identity."
