The long wait is all set to come to an end for Dhanush's fans everywhere as the first single announcement from his next big film, Captain Miller, is now out. The two-time National Award-winning Tamil actor took to X and dropped a new poster from the highly-anticipated period action drama, while revealing that the song titled 'Killer Killer' will be released on Wednesday, November 22. Sharing the big announcement on Monday, November 20, Dhanush also posted the lyrics from the much-awaited track writing, "Captain Miller First single ! Heard you want that fight, well here’s a war. I’ve tasted steel before, i have the scars. You will learn to fear my name, your eyes will never see the same KILLER KILLER CAPTAIN MILLER" (sic)

There is massive excitement surrounding Captain Miller's first single composed by National Award winner G. V. Prakash Kumar featuring lyrics penned by Kaber Vasuki and sung by Arunraja Kamaraj after popular Telugu filmmaker Venky Kudumula revealed sometime back that he got an opportunity to listen to the 'Killer Killer' track during a personal music session and called it "mindblowing". Fans expect the 'Killer Killer' song in Captain Miller to be yet another banger track from the Dhanush-GV Prakash combo as the duo has been a highly successful combo in their previous collaborations Polladhavan (2007), Aadukalam (2011), Mayakkam Enna (2011), Asuran (2019), Maaran (2022), and Vaathi (2023).
Captain Miller is scheduled to open in cinemas worldwide in a grand manner for Pongal in January 2024 and is coming out under tremendous expectations after an action-packed teaser released on Dhanush's birthday earlier this year received a thunderous response. The film is Arun Matheswaran's third directorial after Rocky (2021) and Saani Kaayidham (2022) and will see Dhanush sharing screen space with Kannada superstar Dr. Shivarajkumar appearing in a pivotal role, while youth sensation Priyanka Arul Mohan is cast as the female lead. Captain Miller also has a stellar ensemble cast featuring the likes of Maanagaram star Sundeep Kishan, Sillu Karuppatti actress Nivedhithaa Sathish, Thunivu villain John Kokken, Merku Thodarchi Malai hero Antony, Malayalam actor Moor, among others seen in key roles.
