When asked about his next project, The director said “I am thinking about it let’s see". When asked if his next film will be different too. He said "I had two to three scripts ready so let's see. But I keep thinking we should begin as earlier as possible. I think I should write the wrongs in this film and try something different."

When asked if he would take sequel to the film Yaathisai. The director Dharani Rasendran said “Yes, I am interested, I planned it as a three to four part film. When I broke it I did it as three part films. It won't be a sequel. If I take the next part, it will only be a prequel. At first, there will be an animation in the film (Yaathisai), right. I wanted to make that into a film next and then a sequel. I think it will be great, if it's done that way, That's my thought. Again there is a the budget. If I can handle the budget well, if this film has gone big and become a commercial hit, then the next film can be done. As in the next part."
