A film that has generated a lot of buzz among fans is the upcoming Enemy starring Vishal and Arya in the lead roles. Touted to be a mass action thriller, the film will see Vishal and Arya pitted against each other, with the former playing the hero and the latter as the antagonist. Directed by Arimba Nambi, Iru Mugan and NOTA fame Anand Shankar under producer Vinod Kumar's Mini Studios banner, the film has been announced for a grand Diwali theatrical release on November 4, with the makers on Saturday releasing the much-awaited Enemy trailer showing Vishal and Arya in out-and-out action avatars.

The Enemy trailer starts off with Vishal and Arya's character in their childhood and the guidance and moral support bestowed by their fathers Prakash Raj and Thambi Ramaiah. The visuals then shift to various locations across Malaysia where we are introduced to the adult versions of Vishal and Arya, who come to a confrontation after a conflict takes an upswing. We see plenty of hair-raising action scenes in the Enemy trailer, with both Vishal and Arya shown taking part in intense fight sequences, which have been billed by the makers to be a major highlight in the film.

Expectations for Enemy are huge as it sees real life buddies Vishal and Arya on the big screen after a decade when they last appeared together in National Award-winning director Bala's Avan Ivan. There has been considerable hype for the film and the trailer now will no doubt increase the curiosity among fans. Enemy will also see National Award winners Prakash Raj and Thambi Ramaiah lending power to the cast, which also includes Super Deluxe fame Mirnalini Ravi playing the female lead, followed by Malayalam actress and filmmaker Mamta Mohandas appearing in a Vishal film once again after Sivappathigaram in 2006. The film has music by composer S. Thaman and background score done by Sam C. S, with the technical crew featuring names like RD Rajasekar for the cinematography, Raymond Derrick Crasta for the editing, T Ramalingam for the art direction and Ravi Verma for the stunts.
