Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi's long-awaited Maamanithan is finally on track for release and we will be witnessing the film very soon in theatres. The makers have now released the first single song from the film and this song is called 'Thattipputta'. The highlight aspect of this song and the film's entire music is that it will have the songs and background score composed by Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja. The father-son combination is working together in a film for the first time and the fans have got huge expectations over the movie. Talking about the first single song, 'Thattiputta', the song has been sung by Ilaiyaraaja himself and his rendition makes the song stand out.

The film is directed by Seenu Ramasamy who is known for intense and emotional dramas like Thenmerku Paruvakaatru, Neerparavai, Dharmadurai, and more. The film is produced by Yuvan Shankar Raja under the banner of YSR Films and it is his second production venture after the highly successful romantic drama Pyaar Prema Kadhal. The film features Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom and Super Deluxe fame Gayathrie as the female lead, while the star cast also includes the likes of KPAC Lalitha, Anikha Surendran, and others. The film has cinematography by Mynaa Sukumar.
