The day is finally here as two of the biggest releases of the year, ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s Bigil and Karthi’s Kaithi have come out in theatres worldwide starting today. Screenings for both films across the world have begun and have taken a stunning opening with fans sharing their opinions on Bigil and Kaithi after their theatrical release. Bigil has been directed by Atlee under the AGS Entertainment banner with chartbuster music by A. R. Rahman and is an action sports drama featuring a multi-star cast that includes names like Nayanthara, Kathir, Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff, Vivek, Yogi Babu, among others while Kaithi is director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s second outing after the smash hit, Maanagaram, and has been produced jointly by Dream Warrior Pictures and Vivekananda Pictures with a background score by Sam C. S. With both films now out, Kaithi director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is also the chief for Vijay’s next, Thalapathy 64, has taken to Twitter to extend his wishes to his film as well Atlee’s Bigil. As Bigil and Kaithi have taken a stellar start, Vijay fans have their sights set next on Thalapathy 64, which includes names like ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Malavika Mohanan and Malayalam sensation, Antony Varghese in supporting roles. Produced by Vijay’s close relative, Xavier Britto under the XB Film Creators banner, the film is being billed to be an intense action flick and will feature music by Anirudh Ravichander. Announced for a summer 2020 release, the Thalapathy 64 team has been shooting the project in locations around Chennai and will be heading to Delhi to begin their next schedule from October 27 for 20 days till the third week of November. Thalapathy 64 also has a strong technical team among whom are Meyaadha Maan and Aadai director Rathna Kumar serving as the additional screenwriter followed by cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan, editor Philomin Raj, art director Satheesh Kumar and Stunt Silva for the action while Vijay’s manager, Jagadish and Seven Screen Studio’s Lalit Kumar coming on board as the Line Producers.
