In a shocking turn of events, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide yesterday (June 14). The talented actor was 34 years old when he breathed his last. The celebrities and fans are mourning his death on social media. We know that Sushant had a very successful career in cinema and he created a place for himself in the industry after years of struggle, hard work and dedication. He was last seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s Chhichhore and Tarun Mansukhani’s Drive (Netflix film). He will be finally seen for one last time in his upcoming movie, Dil Bechara, which happens to be the remake of The Fault in our Stars.

Looking back at the earlier days of Sushant’s career (before entering cinema), he got his major breakthrough with the serial, Pavitra Rishta, in which he played the lead character - Manav Deshmukh. Sushant acted in this serial from 2009 to 2011, after which he was replaced by Hiten Tejwani for the next three years until the serial’s end. Sushant’s performance in this serial created a big fan base for him and he became a household name.

This serial was a big breakthrough in his career and there was no lookback since then. Notably, Pavitra Rishta was an official adaptation of the widely popular Tamil serial, Thirumathi Selvam, that starred Sanjeev (Selvam) and Abitha (Archana) in the lead roles.
