The upcoming film, touted to be a legal drama, will be the actor's second OTT release after his Soorarai Pottru last year, which saw the actor deliver a power-packed thunderous performance. Produced by Suriya and Jyothika under their 2D Entertainment banner and directed by Tha. Se. Gnanavel of Kootathil Oruthan fame, the much-awaited Jai Bhim teaser released on Saturday shows the actor exhibiting his skills at prime form. The teaser is filled with tension and drama from start to end and we can expect an intense and impactful viewing when it rings in the festival of lights next month.
Jai Bhim revolves around a conflict being faced by a tribal community for whom Suriya steps up to the front to help and get them the justice they deserve. Suriya will be seen playing the role of an advocate, with the film's story said to be based on certain real life incidents. Jai Bhim has Sillu Karupatti fame Manikandan and Sivappu Manjal Pachai fame Lijomol Jose playing the lead roles, with Karnan heroine Rajisha Vijayan, five-time National Award-winning actor Prakash Raj, and Ramesh cast in pivotal roles. The legal drama film includes a talented technical team among whom include music composer Sean Roldan, while the cinematography and editing are taken care of by SR Kathir and Philomin Raj. Kiruthika B has served as an additional screenwriter and the action sequences have been choreographed by National Award-winning stunt duo Anbariv respectively.
Jai Bhim is one among the four films sold by Suriya's 2D Entertainment to Amazon Prime Video and the other ventures include the recently-released Raame Aandalum Raavane Aandalum and Udapirappe, with Oh My Dog currently in its post-production stages and gearing up for release next.
