The much-awaited Thalaivar 170 update is out for 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's fans everywhere as the team of the upcoming film has announced that members of the cast and crew will be revealed from Sunday, October 1. This latest announcement has come out amidst the massive success of the iconic Tamil actor's blockbuster, Jailer, which completed 50 days in its theatrical run earlier this week on Thursday. It is to be noted that the Thalaivar 170 squad update announcement is out now after Rajinikanth spoke at the the Jailer success meet a few days back and revealed that he will begin filming soon on the prestigious project to be directed by T. J. Gnanavel featuring music by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander.

There is quite a lot of excitement surrounding Thalaivar 170 as several big names have been speculated to be a part of the project over the past few months and the wait will finally come to an end for fans starting tomorrow on who will be sharing the screen alongside Rajinikanth. The film was announced officially earlier this year in March and marks the first time the actor and T. J. Gnanavel will be joining hands and expectations are quite high considering the filmmaker's last directorial Jai Bhim starring Suriya turned out to be a phenomenal critical success.
Thalaivar 170 is also Anirudh Ravichander's fourth time composing the songs and the background score for a 'Superstar' Rajinikanth film after Petta (2019), Darbar (2020), and Jailer (2023). The blockbuster music director will be aiming to hit the bullseye once again after delivering chart-topping hits in each of his previous outings with the leading Tamil actor, and fans too will be waiting with bated breath to see him hit the high note along the lines of his 'Hukum' track in Jailer. Announced for a grand 2024 theatrical release, Rajinikanth will want to complete Thalaivar 170 at a steady pace before heading to begin shooting for Thalaivar 171 under blockbuster filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj's direction next year.
