'Superstar' Rajinikanth penned a surprise love note complimenting the team of Chandramukhi 2, including the film's director P. Vasu, and its lead actor Raghava Lawrence on Friday, September 29. The team of the comedy horror film has shared a letter on social media written by the iconic Tamil actor appreciating them for their work on the recently-released venture. In his special surprise note to the Chandramukhi 2 team, Rajinikanth wrote, "My best wishes to director P. Vasu for presenting his biggest blockbuster Chandramukhi in a completely new angle as a great entertainer to cinema lovers, and to Raghava Lawrence for his wonderful acting, and the entire team."

Rajinikanth's latest words of praise for the Chandramukhi 2 team have come as the film is also the sequel to the blockbuster Chandramukhi (2005), which saw him sharing screen space with Jyotika, Nayanthara, Prabhu, 'Vaigai Puyal' Vadivelu, among others, and was also directed by P. Vasu. While Rajinikanth appeared in dual roles as Dr. Saravanan and Vettaiyan Raja in Chandramukhi, the sequel Chandramukhi 2 has Raghava Lawrence playing double roles as Pandian and Sengottaiyan alias Vettaiyan Raja, and sees him sharing the screen with four-time National Award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut, who appears as the titular character.
