Silambarasan TR is set to delight fans with a number of projects he has in his lineup among which also includes the highly-anticipated mass masala political action entertainer, Maanaadu, directed by Venkat Prabhu under Suresh Kamatchi's V House Productions banner. Shooting on Maanaadu came to a conclusion on July 9, with the team celebrating the occasion by cutting a large cake and Simbu distributing around 300 watches to the film's crew. Now, the makers have released a special video of the Maanaadu shoot wrap up, which shows STR cutting the cake and offering it to Venkat Prabhu, producer Suresh Kamatchi, action choreographer Stunt Silva among other technicians in the film's crew.
Maanaadu's production came to a wrap at the Hosur airport where the team shot a sequence involving a real aircraft. The film, which is said to heavily revolve around the concept of time-loop, was initially announced in mid 2018, with production going on floors early last year and full-fledged post-production works set to take place next. Expectations for Maanaadu are massive, especially after Venkat Prabhu shared interesting details during a Twitter spaces chat session held recently where he went on to state that the film will be a step away from the usual sensibilities of Tamil cinema and will come as a fresh form of story-telling.
Featuring music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the first single track for Maanaadu titled 'Meherezylaa' has also received a stunning response from fans, with fans awaiting more big delights, especially after it was revealed that Simbu has sung a song for the composer after a long time. Apart from STR, Maanaadu's multi-star cast also includes Kalyani Priyadarshan as the female lead, followed by SJ Suryah, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaren, Manoj Bharathiraja, Daniel Annie Pope, Y. Gee. Mahendra and veteran directors SA Chandrasekhar and Bharathiraja in pivotal roles.
