Silambarasan TR's latest release, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu has opened well at the box office and the reviews have also been quite favourable to the film. Days before the film's release, Galatta Plus interviewed Silambarasan TR and during the interaction, the actor opened up about various aspects of his journey as an actor and a human being. When he was asked about his next set of projects as an actor, he revealed that he hasn't signed anything new and that is because he wants to do something really special, a role that would satisfy his hunger and thirst to perform.

Talking about it, he said, "I have not decided any film now. There are a lot of scripts and I have heard them. Few interesting films with directors are there, but I am very hungry right now. There is an enormous amount of hunger inside me to do something really out of box. I do not want to explain what I want to do. I am in that space of being hungry to perform or act like never before. The last time I got this feeling, I took up Manmadhan. Maybe I have to direct a film like that or find a script like that now. There are few interesting scripts in the lineup, but I want to do something that would satisfy my hunger to perform. So I am taking the time to find the right project".

With Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu already out in theatres, Simbu has two other films in production - Pathu Thala and Corona Kumar. Pathu Thala is nearing the finish stage and the film is slated for release on December 14. The film will feature Simbu playing the role of an underground don and it is the official remake of the critically acclaimed Kannada film, Mufti. Corona Kumar, directed by Gokul, is yet to go on floors and will begin towards the end of this year or early next year.
