Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata has him paired opposite National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh and has been directed by Geetha Govindam fame Parasuram Petla. Touted to be a mass action entertainer, promotions are underway for the film jointly being produced by Mythri Movie Makers, 14 Reels Plus, and Mahesh Babu's GMB Entertainment banners, with the team releasing the much-awaited romantic 'Kalaavathi' song music video on Sunday ahead of Valentine's Day celebrations. Composed by blockbuster music director Thaman. S, the 'Kalaavathi' song has been picturized on Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh and their chemistry teased in the music video has only raised the excitement and expectations for Sarkaru Vaari Paata, which is set to open in theatres on May 12.

The 'Kalaavathi' song music video was initially planned to be released tomorrow for Valentine's Day, but has now come out a day earlier after it was leaked online. Composer Thaman took to social media to express his disappointment in voice clips over the leak along with the caption "Heartbroken 💔 !!", saying the makers of Sarkaru Vaari Paata had planned for its grand release. 'Kalaavathi', a breezy romantic melody, is sung by current youth sensation Sid Sriram and has lyrics penned by Ananta Sriram. The pairing of Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh is the major USP of Sarkaru Vaari Paata, especially after the teaser released last year piqued the interest among fans.
Currently one of the biggest and most-awaited Telugu ventures of the year, Sarkaru Vaari Paata has already undergone a few release changes after it was initially planned to come out as a Sankrathi treat before being pushed to on April 1 coinciding with the Ugadi festival but has since been announced to open in theatres on May 12. The upcoming film will be the first time Mahesh Babu's fans will see the star on the big screen after two years after his Sarileru Neekevvaru in early 2020, which tasted phenomenal box office success.
