The epic action film released in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages has done wonders by minting 178.7 crores in global box office collections (GBOC) on day 1. The stellar start for Salaar at the box office has once again reaffirmed Prabhas' stature as a pan-Indian superstar, with tickets in multiplexes and single-screen theatres across India already sold out for the next few days.

Prabhas, who started his 2023 campaign with the mythological action film, Adipurush, has indeed announced his arrival as the "most violent man" hitting the bullseye this time with Salaar claiming the top spot by delivering the biggest opening of the year. The mass action film leads the list of the top five releases of the year and has gone past the day one collection of 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo, which grossed 148.50 crores, followed by Adipurush standing at 140 crores, Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan at 129.60 crores, and Ranbir Kapoor's Animal with 116 crores.
