'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Annaatthe is gearing up for a massive theatrical release on November 4 as a grand Diwali treat and is currently one of the most-awaited films of the veteran actor in recent times as it will feature him amidst a rural backdrop and for the first time since his Padayappa in 1999. Directed by Siva under the prestigious Sun Pictures banner, the mass masala family action entertainer recently had a power-packed teaser released, with the makers also announcing that the film has been certified 'U/A' by the Censor Board. With all cards on deck for Annaatthe's release, it has now been officially confirmed that the distribution arm of leading digital cinema network and in-cinema advertising platform UFO Moviez India Limited will be releasing the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film in North India (excluding South Indian states).

Rajinikanth, who enjoys a massive fan following across the country, has been a favorite among North Indian audiences too considering he has made appearances in several Bollywood films alongside top superstars during the 1980s and 90s and will be an important factor in luring audiences to theatres when Annaatthe hits screen early next month. Annaatthe is also Rajinikanth's third collaboration with Sun Pictures after their box office money-spinners Enthiran (2010) and Petta (2019), with fans looking forward to the veteran actor and the blockbuster production banner to hit the bullseye once again.

Promotions for Annaatthe are being carried out extensively as the film nears its release in two weeks time, with composer D. Imman's songs turning out to be chart-busters among fans. The buzz for the film is huge as it has all elements of a commercial potboiler, including an ensemble star cast featuring top names like veteran actresses Khushbu and Meena, followed by Nayanthara paired opposite Rajinikanth and National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh as the iconic actor's sister.
