Tamil cinema stars continue to pay their respects to 'Captain' Vijayakanth at his residence and his Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) office, and also show their support to the late actor-politician's family. Tamil actor-filmmaker Raghava Lawrence, who along with his mother paid his tribute to Vijayakanth at his residence and spoke to his family earlier this week and conveyed his condolences. On Wednesday, Lawrence took to social media to issue a statement about meeting Vijayakanth's family members and revealed that he is ready to make a cameo appearance in the Tamil cinema stalwart's son Shanmuga Pandian's upcoming film.

Taking to X, Raghava Lawrence said, "I visited his memorial the day before yesterday. We then went to Vijayakanth sir's residence. I met Vijayakanth sir's wife, his two sons, and his sister. While we were talking, Vijayakanth sir's wife's sister asked me to oversee his son Shanmuga Pandian's journey in cinema. Those words stuck with me because Vijayakanth sir has done so much for many actors by doing guest roles and special appearances in their films. He was a person who liked helping other actors come up in life."

Raghava Lawrence added, "In Vijayakanth sir's film Kannupada Poguthaiya, I did choreography for the 'Mookuthi Muthazhaghu' song and he danced wonderfully, and would encourage me a lot. So, as a homage to him, I wish that his son's film takes a good opening. Furthermore, if the makers of the film agree, I'm willing to do a guest role either in a fight sequence or a song or a scene as per their wishes. Since Vijayakanth annan has helped many heroes to come up, we have to see his son also rise and that would be a mark of respect to him. If there is any double hero subject for Shanmuga Pandian and myself, kindly do let me know and I will act alongside him. I also want to extend my greetings to Vijayakanth sir's son Vijay Prabhakar, who is now in politics."
