‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth's Jailer is one of the anticipated films that is set to release in theatres on August 10. When asked about the comparison of Jailer with other films like Vikram, Baashha, etc., after the Showcase, the producer said "the treatment of the story is important, how much a story entertains us is important, the story is just a base point, and what matters is how well and entertainingly you present the film, the audience will enjoy it."

The producer Dhananjayan then explained that "What I expect on August 10th morning is for the 2 hours and 30 minutes to be fun and entertaining, with the massive presence of Superstar and style, action, and at the same time fun. That is how I expect the film to be." The producer said at the end, the audience go into cinema halls to get entertained, and if Neslon has understood that and used 'Superstar' Rajinikanth the right way, the film would be great. About comparisons he said "I can say that it will surely not be a film like Vikram." He explained that there were some dark themes in Vikram, like drugs and mafias, that would not be there. "But it could be an idea like Baashha. But it's not Baashha." said Dhananjayan
The producer Dhananjayan further stated, "When I read the story, I knew that it was a story about a retired jailer. That is the how the outline was.
