With the COVID-19 Corona Virus Pandemic spreading rapidly across the world and claiming a lot of lives, the Indian government had announced a 21-day lockdown of 75 districts in the Country! This lockdown has been in effect for close to a week now and most of the people are staying indoors. However, there are some people who happened to be in other places and were left stranded because of lack of transportation facilities during the lockdown! About 99 fishermen from various parts of Andhra Pradesh (predominantly the Srikakulam region) had been left stranded at the Chennai harbour, due to the lockdown! The Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan had written to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, asking for his help in rescuing these fishermen!

The TN government and CM EPS immediately responded to this request and ensured that immediate accommodation, basic essentials and food were supplied to these fishermen! All necessary requirements were made within hours and updates on these were shared on social media by the TN CM! Thanking his prompt response and swift action in this regard, Power Star Pawan Kalyan has penned a heartfelt letter, expressing his gratitude to the TN CM and his government for all their help! He also thanked the officials of the Greater Chennai Corporation for the measures taken by them. In the same letter, he also thanked all the Jana Sena party members who played their part in ensuring the safety of these stranded fishermen!
