Pavni Reddy became a household name across Tamil Nadu after she ended up as the 2nd runner-up in Bigg Boss Tamil season 5 and was last seen on the big screen in Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar's Thunivu (2023). The popular actress recently took part in a special event organized by Galatta Media on the occasion of International Women's Day where she opened up extensively about her personal experiences, while also speaking about her ex-husband Pradeep Kumar, who died by suicide in 2017. Pavni, who is currently in a relationship with choreographer turned actor and filmmaker Amir ADS, went on to explain in detail at Galatta's 'Women Icons' celebrations about the reactions she has faced online about her ex-husband's untimely demise.
Pavni said, "Before and after Bigg Boss, I saw many comments about my ex-husband's suicide. Many people started commenting saying, 'You are a murderer.' So, I didn't feel like giving a clarification regarding this because the truth will come out one day. I talk to my in-laws. I am happy with them. I still talk to them. I'm still in touch with my in-laws. And, they respect me the same. Even now when I'm living a different life, they're the same. But, after I got close with Amir, I came across a comment, 'Are you going to kill Amir next?' " She further stated, "I do get the feeling to reply. It pricks and goes off where you don't even now. That person will not know the time I spent my husband, what has happened, what love we had together for so many years, and one small thing happens and he's lost his life. You cannot just blame a person and come out like that. It's very easy. When a person dies, it's easy to put the blame on someone else. So, the person is dead, but you'll keep pestering the one who's alive. It hurts a lot. It makes us feel like 'Whom all do I go and tell what has happened?' We can't say one or twice, but we can't keep on campaigning about this that 'I'm not that as you're thinking', But, it hurts."
