Koogle Kuttappa which was released on May 6 opened to mixed reviews. The science fiction comedy drama is directed by debutant directors Sabari–Saravanan and produced by K. S. Ravikumar under the RK Celluloids banner and co-produced by Kallal Global Entertainment. The film stars K. S. Ravikumar himself in the lead role along with Tharshan, Losliya, and Yogi Babu who are seen in prominent roles. The film's music is composed by Ghibran, with cinematography handled by Arvi and editing done by Praveen Antony. The film is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Android Kunjappan Version 5.25 which was written and directed by Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval.

The comedy in the film is not the best but manages to crack up the audience with certain slapstick materials. With such moments and a great performance from K. S. Ravikumar, who is front and center of the movie, the film managed to captivate its audience. A new deleted scene from Koogle Kuttappa has been released by the film's makers on YouTube. It is a hilarious scene shared between K. S. Ravikumar and Yogi Babu while Kuttappa watches on.

Koogle Kuttappa's story revolves around Subramani, played by K. S. Ravikumar, a curmudgeonly, very conservative widower, who wants his son Adithya, played by Tharshan, a robotic engineering graduate, by his side all the time. The latter rebels one day when he gets an offer to work for a robotics firm in Germany. With none of the caretakers lasting long, thanks to Subramani's cantankerous nature, Adithya finally brings home a prototype robot to look after his father.

People have their own set of doubts when it comes to remakes. Some feel classics shouldn't be remade and some feel watching the dubbed versions, or the original with subtitles is more than enough. But movies prove that theory wrong and Koogle Kuttappa is most definitely one of them!
