Mani Ratnam's historical epic Ponniyin Selvan has got huge expectations among the fans and film buffs and it is surely one of the important films to watch out for. Produced by Lyca Productions in association with Madras Talkies, the film has music composed by A.R.Rahman, while the cinematography and editing are taken care of by Ravi Varman and Sreekar Prasad respectively. The film features an ensemble star cast that includes the likes of Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Sobhita Dhulipala, Rahman, Aadukalam Kishore, Jayaram, Ashwin Kakumanu, Arjun Chidambaram, and others.

Earlier today (July 19), the makers of Ponniyin Selvan took the fans by pleasant surprise by releasing a new poster and the poster has already gone viral among the fans. The poster does not have the faces of the actors and instead turns out to be the title look poster of the film. The title look poster for the first part of Ponniyin Selvan has been released and the poster looks absolutely electrifying and grand. Considering the large universe of Ponniyin Selvan, the makers decided to release the film in two parts and the first part is getting ready in full swing.

Through the title look poster, the makers have also confirmed that PS - 1 will be released in 2022. According to reports, the team is targeting a summer release in 2022, but a final call will be taken, depending upon the Covid 19 situation. Based on Kalki's historical novel of the same name, this film has art direction by Thotta Tharani. Jeyamohan, Elango Kumaravel, and Mani Ratnam have collaborated together for the screenplay of Ponniyin Selvan. The new schedule of Ponniyin Selvan is expected to begin very soon in Pondicherry and an official word regarding the same is awaited.
