Thala Ajith fell in love with Shalini and the duo got married in 2000 and there has been no look back since then. Ajith and Shalini are leading a happy life together and they are easily one of the most loved celebrity couples in the country. Having said that, Malayalam actor Kunchacko Boban has now shared some interesting unknown stories that happened when Ajith and Shalini were in love with each other. In a way, Kunchacko Boban helped their love grow. In a recent interview, Kunchacko Boban has made an exciting revelation stating that Ajith used to call his mobile number to talk to Shalini.

Before getting married, when Shalini was shooting with Kunchacko Boban for the Malayalam film Niram, Ajith used to call Boban's number to talk to Shalini during shoot breaks. Ajith apparently avoided calling Shalini's number so that their love doesn't get noticed by Shalini's parents. It is said that Shalini kept their relationship very secretive and only Kunchacko knew about it. It was 1999 when the shooting of Niram happened and it was a time when mobile phones weren't common. So, Kunchacko Boban was one of the very few to have had a mobile phone and he had an Ericson mobile.

Whenever Ajith called Kunchacko Boban's number, he used to call Shalini saying 'Sona, AK-47 calling', to avoid getting noticed by Shalini's parents. Sona was the character name Shalini played in Niram and AK-47 denoted Ajith Kumar. This code word was very special for Ajith - Shalini's relationship in their initial stages and this throwback incident has got a lot of people excited. Isn’t this interesting?. Ajith is a very private person and we get to hear about these interesting incidents only through fellow colleagues and actors from the industry who were closely associated with him.

On the work front, Ajith’s next release would be Valimai which is directed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP. Ajith will be seen playing the role of a cop in this action adventure drama that has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Kaala fame Huma Qureshi plays the female lead in this film. The shooting of Valimai is expected to resume when everyone is declared safe from the pandemic. Valimai, being a big budget film planned to be shot on a lavish scale, the makers might not be able to shoot with social distancing and will have to wait until things get under control.
