'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan has announced his next big film tentatively titled KH 237 as a special treat ahead of the Pongal festivities. The iconic Tamil actor made the big announcement on Friday, January 12, along with a power-packed video, which goes on to reveal National Award-winning stunt choreographer duo Anbariv as the directors. Sharing the announcement video on X, Kamal Haasan wrote, "Proud to add two proven talents in their new avatar as directors for #KH237. Slay it, Masters Anbariv."
KH 237 will mark the big directorial debut of Anbariv after they previously collaborated with Kamal Haasan in the mega box office blockbuster, Vikram (2022), directed by hit filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. The announcement of this new project from the leading Tamil actor has come as a massive surprise for fans considering he already has several big films in his lineup among which include Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD being directed by Telugu filmmaker Nag Ashwin and Indian 2 and Indian 3 under Shankar's direction, which are in various stages of production. Along with KH 237, Kamal Haasan is yet to begin filming for his Thug Life with Mani Ratnam, the tentatively titled KH 233 with H. Vinoth, with plans also set for a reunion with Lokesh Kanagaraj for Vikram 2.
Anbariv, who won the National Film Award for Best Stunt Choreography for their work in K.G.F: Chapter 1 (2018), are also overseeing the action choreography in Kamal Haasan's Thug Life, and the announcement of them being directors for the celebrated actor's KH 237 is no doubt a big jump in their careers in cinema. Announced to begin rolling in 2025, no details have been revealed about the composer of KH 237 despite the rocking musical score in the announcement video.
