KGF: Chapter 1 is one of the biggest blockbusters that set the box office on fire. Yash got a huge breakthrough through the film and the character ‘Rocky Bhai’ became the most favourite for the masses. Yash also became a pan-Indian star with the mammoth success of the film. Recently, KGF’s Telugu dubbed version was telecast illegally on a local cable channel and this has irked the production team. The film’s Creative Executive Producer, Karthik Gowda, took to his Twitter space to share his anger over this illegal telecast.
He also stated that the team is going to sue the local cable channel for doing this. He tweeted, “A telugu local channel named #Every^ is playing KGF film illegally. We will move legally against them and sue for their actions. While the satellite deal is on talks and almost finalised, a cable channel does this. We have ample proof with screen shots, videos of the same.” Karthik also clarified that the makers were in talks with a popular television channel to sell the satellite rights of the Telugu version and the deal will be finalized very soon.
The original Kannada version’s rights belong to Colors Kannada, while the Tamil dubbed version is acquired by the same network’s Tamil channel, Colors Tamil. Meanwhile, the fans are excitedly waiting to witness Rocky Bhai back on the big screens with KGF: Chapter 2, which is tentatively scheduled to release on October 23. However, there are chances of the film getting postponed to a later date due to the current pandemic situation that has impacted the lives of everyone all over the world.
Produced by Hombale Films and directed by Prashanth Neel, KGF: Chapter 2 will witness the face off between Rocky Bhai and Adheera, played by Sanjay Dutt. The film’s star cast also includes Raveena Tandon, Sreenidhi Shetty, Anant Nag, Malavika Avinash, and others. As like the first part, KGF: Chapter 2 will also be dubbed and released in other languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. For now, check out Karthik Gowda’s tweet below:
