In what is undoubtedly a massive surprising news to Telugu cinema fans everywhere, it has now been announced that Jr. NTR's next film, Devara, will be coming out in two installments. The big change was announced by the upcoming film's director Koratala Siva on Wednesday, October 4, who revealed that the canvas of the story got bigger as they kept shooting. Appearing in a video, Koratala Siva said, "The film is set in the backdrop of the forgotten lands of coastal India. The canvas is too big. As we started shooting, the canvas revealed itself and it kept getting bigger and bigger. And, every character in the film has got its own weight and it needs to be explored and established in depth and in detail. We can’t justify it in one part. So, we took a decision to tell this story and show this big canvas in two parts. The story won't change in shape but will thrive in scale. So, I'm here to share the news that one of the biggest canvases ever of Devara will be done in two parts and April 5th is just the beginning."

This latest big change in Devara being split into two parts will no doubt come as massive exciting news for Jr. NTR's fans, who will get to witness more of the Telugu superstar on the big screen. Touted to be a mass action drama, the hype surrounding the project has been huge right from get-go as it features some of the biggest names in Indian cinema including leading Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor, who is making her Telugu debut, while Saif Ali Khan will be playing the antagonist once again after Prabhas' Adipurush, with 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander composing the songs and the background score.

Devara is being made on a grand scale and the updates from the technical department have been nothing short of exciting, with cinematographer Rathnavelu last week sharing behind-the-scenes working stills taken during filming of a mammoth mid-sea underwater and surface-level night action sequence. Likewise, the film's action is being overseen by Hollywood stunt master Kenny Bates, who is known for his work in global blockbusters like Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and Transformers, while he has also worked in smash hit Indian films like 2.0 and Saaho
