Former Filipina actress Nikki Gil and her husband BJ Albert welcomed their second child, a baby girl, on October 10. The couple posted two photos of their newborn from the hospital room at the St. Luke’s Medical Center, while revealing the baby's name as Madeline Elle. Sharing the pictures, Nikki wrote, "Our little miss Madeline Elle arrived a few days ago and we’re completely smitten! Thank you Lord for our sweet Maddie." The couple have been receiving congratulatory messages and wishes from fans and celebrities, including Anne Curtis, Iya Villania, Isabel Oli and Marian Rivera. Nikki and Albert tied the knot in a Christian wedding in November 2015 and welcomed their first child, son Finn, in November 2017 on their second wedding anniversary. Nikki Gil established herself as a powerhouse talent with acting, while also proving her skills as a singer, including taking on the roles of a host and video jockey and pursuing a career in modeling. She is best known among fans for her appearances on the Philippine television daytime drama series, Pieta (2008–2009) and for portraying Princess Punzalan in the afternoon drama Nagsimula sa Puso. She also played the role of Jennifer "Jenny" La Peña in remake of the 1990 radio serial of Salvador Royales' Mundo Man ay Magunaw, while also landing starring roles in films like One More Chance, And I Love You So, The Red Shoes and My Big Bossing to name a notable few. 

Nikki Gil entered the entertainment industry as a singer at the age of 17 in a Coca-Cola commercial in 2005. She went on to release her first self-titled album, Nikki Gil, under EMI Philippines with 'Sakayan ng Jeep' as the first single track that same year. Gil subsequently released two more albums - Hear My Heart (2008) and Somebody to Love (2010) - before moving to her new recording company Universal Records in 2014.
