He said, “This morning, news was doing rounds that I was asked by the health officials to self-isolate and be on quarantine at my home. I would like to clarify on what really happened. My sister is not feeling well and she is under medication at Theni. It was an emergency and so I had to come here to visit her. I followed the legal procedures and got the e-pass to travel from Chennai to Theni. As I crossed many districts and reached here, the health officials advised me to take tests, as a precaution. I was tested for Corona here and my result was negative. I’ve been tested 3 times for Corona so far and it has been negative all the three times.

The first time was in Chennai, and the second was at Aandipatti, while the third was here at Theni. Two of my assistants travelled along with me and they have also been tested negative. However, as a precautionary measure, we ourselves decided to self-isolate and be safe. There is no need for people to panic. I request the media and news channels, not to create any confusion or panic situation among the people as we are happy and healthy. I am currently working with my assistants right now, discussing the theme and story of our next film. We are completely fine.” Well, we hope this puts all the speculations to rest.
