National Award-winning actor 'Chiyaan' Vikram and his son Dhruv will be seen together on the big screen for the first time in the upcoming Mahaan under Karthik Subbaraj's direction. Produced by SS Lalit Kumar under the 7 Screen Studios banner and featuring music by Santhosh Narayanan, the film is touted to be an intense raw gangster action drama, with the team sometime back releasing a special poster reel for Vikram, which had the actor riding a motorcycle in the midst of traditional Tamil Nadu's street performers. In that light, on the auspicious occasion of Vinayagar Chathurthi, a poster reel has now been released for Dhruv Vikram, with his character in Mahaan revealed to be as Dada.

Promoted as the son of Mahaan, Dhruv Vikram is seen in this new short promo teaser from the film amidst a North East backdrop, with Santhosh Narayanan's music elevating the visuals to euphoric levels. The makers have also shared a 'Kural' written by Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar, which has been translated in English as follows: "The son to sire this word is debt 'what penance such a son begot' - Thirukural No. 70". Expectations for Mahaan are massive considering it will see a celebrated performer like Vikram sharing screen space with his son Dhruv, who became a sensation after his power-packed performance in Adithya Varma

Currently in its post-production stages, Mahaan also has Vikram paired opposite Simran, while Vani Bhojan has been cast as Dhruv's love interest. Apart from the leads, the seventh directorial of Karthik Subbaraj also has Bobby Simha, Sananth, Deepak Paramesh, and Muthukumar cast  pivotal roles. Mahaan includes a talented technical team on board featuring names like cinematographer Shreyaas Krishna and editor Vivek Harshan. Watch Dhruv Vikram's poster reel from Mahaan below:
