National Award-winning actor 'Chiyaan' Vikram will be seen sharing screen space for the first time with his son Dhruv in Mahaan, under the direction of blockbuster filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj of Petta, Jigarthanda, Iraivi and Pizza fame. Produced by SS Lalit Kumar under the 7 Screen Studios banner, the upcoming film's title was revealed recently via a special poster reel that featured on Vikram, which has since received a thumping response from fans. Touted to be an intense gangster action drama, the makers surprised fans on Wednesday by dropping the announcement that a new poster reel from Mahaan and this time featured on Dhruv will be releasing on Friday at 10 a.m. on the auspicious occasion of Vinayagar Chathurthi.
In a special announcement, 7 Screen Studios tweeted, "#MAHAAN - #DhruvPosterReel OUT ON FRIDAY - 10AM", while sharing party popper emojis. The earlier poster reel showcasing Vikram received a huge feedback from fans, who expressed their joy at witnessing the versatile actor in a whole new mass avatar. With the announcement of the Dhruv poster reel from Mahaan now out, fans will be expecting the makers to deliver yet another sizzling promo this time on the Adithya Varma sensation. Currently in its post-production stages, Mahaan has massive expectations surrounding it considering fans are waiting to witness the Vikram-Dhruv father-son duo in action on the big screen. The buzz for the film is tremendous considering the film's star cast apart from Vikram and Dhruv includes actresses Simran and Vani Bhojan cast as the female leads, with Bobby Simha, Sananth, Deepak Paramesh, and Muthukumar, set to be seen in pivotal roles. Mahaan is Karthik Subbaraj's seventh directorial and his next after Jagame Thandhiram, with the filmmaker joining hands once again with chart-buster composer Santhosh Narayanan, cinematographer Shreyaas Krishna and editor Vivek Harshan.
