In what has come as yet another major casting coup, National and Kerala state award winning actor Suraj Venjaramoodu is now a part of 'Chiyaan' Vikram's next big film, the tentatively titled Chiyaan 62. The makers of the upcoming film being directed by S. U. Arun Kumar of Chithha (2023) fame has added the acclaimed Malayalam actor, who will now incidentally be making his Tamil cinema debut and is no doubt a grand start. The team of the Vikram-starrer wrote in their announcement post on X on Sunday, March 3, "National and Kerala state award-winning actor #SurajVenjaramoodu, who has mesmerized us back to back in films like #DrivingLicense #AndroidKunjappan etc., is now on board for #Chiyaan62!" (sic)

Suraj Venjaramoodu won the National Award for Best Actor for his memorable performance in Perariyathavar (2015) and is also known among fans for his roles in films Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum (2017), Vikruthi (2019), Driving License (2019), Android Kunjappan Version 5.25 (2019), The Great Indian Kitchen (2021), Jana Gana Mana (2022), Mukundan Unni Associates (2022), to name a notable few. His inclusion in Vikram's Chiyaan 62 will add strength to its cast after filmmaker-actor SJ Suryah was roped in for a pivotal role and has gotten Tamil cinema fans mighty excited.

There has been a big buzz surrounding Chiyaan 62 right from the get-go after a power-packed announcement video had been released last year showing National Award-winning Tamil actor Vikram in action mode once again. The film will also feature songs and a background score composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, who has been on a roll ever since his work in Suriya's Soorarai Pottru (2020) won him the National Award. Chiyaan 62 also has fans excited since director S. U. Arun Kumar hit it out of the park last year with Chithaa after impressing audiences with his work in the past in films Pannaiyarum Padminiyum (2014) and Sethupathi (2016).
