Bigg Boss Tamil season 5 kicked off on October 3 and is off to a flying start, with 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan returning to host the hit reality TV show for the fifth consecutive time. As the show continues to draw a large viewership on Vijay Television and DisneyPlus Hotstar as in line with the previous seasons, several contestants in the ongoing edition have made heads turn, especially actress Pavani Reddy, who had prior to her entry on the show garnered a huge fan following after her appearance in the serial, Chinna Thambi. Recently, during the 'Kadandhu Vandha Paadhai' task on Bigg Boss 5, Pavani opened up about the untimely demise of her husband  Pradeep Kumar and spoke about her family making arrangements for her remarriage.

For a while now, there have been several rumours and speculations doing the rounds on social media about Pavani Reddy's remarriage and the reports have now been addressed by the actress' elder sister Sindhu. Taking to Pavani's Instagram page, Sindhu posted a detailed note and wrote, "Hi, This is Sindhu #pavanireddy's elder sister, I am here to clear some of the fake news and controversy still ongoing on social media about her relationship. Pavani never married after the untimely demise of her husband #pradeepkumar Whom she loved immensely and will never forget his presence in her life. The years spent with him will always be cherished by her."

Sindhu further stated, "She was in a relationship though after this incident. As a family, we had plans of getting her remarried but things didn't work well between them and they parted ways amicably with mutual understanding. She has handled all the controversies surrounding her late husband's death and her later relationship and break up with dignity for the past 4 years and came out stronger as a person. She has put all these behind her and is looking forward to building her career. We expect all media personnel, fans and well wisher's to respect her privacy and continue to support her throughout her journey as you have been doing in the past. Thank you one and all. #pavaniredddystaystrong"
