Bigg Boss sensation Kavin's Lift has got high expectations among the fans and the movie is expected to take a good opening at the box office. The film is produced by Hepzi under the banner of Ekaa Entertainment. Ravindar Chandrasekaran of Libra Productions had acquired the Tamil Nadu theatrical distribution rights of the film. However, as per the latest developments, it looks like the Kavin starrer has run into trouble. Ekaa Entertainment has issued a new statement announcing that the company has cut ties with Libra Productions, with regards to Lift. It is said that the producers of Lift are unhappy with the actions of Libra Productions.

The official statement from Ekaa Entertainment states that the company has cancelled its agreement with Libra Productions as the latter did not live up to the promises signed in the agreement. Mr Dilip Kumar of Ekaa Entertainment has also filed a Police complaint against Ravindar Chandrasekaran on the same. With the statement, the makers also requested the distributors and theatre exhibitors not to contact Libra Productions for business dealings, confirming that Ekaa Entertainment is the sole proprietor of Lift movie. The makers also confirmed that the official updates on the movie will be shared only through Ekaa Entertainment and not any other company.

This incident has created a huge buzz in the Kollywood circles and we will have to wait for an official word from Libra Productions. The film is directed by debutant Vineeth Varaprasad and features Bigil fame Amritha Aiyer as the female lead. The pairing of Kavin and Amritha is indeed going to be refreshing to watch and the duo will be supported by Gayathri Reddy and Abdool who play supporting roles. The film has music composed by Britto Michael, while the cinematography and editing departments are taken care of by S Yuva and G Madan respectively. Reports suggest that the film is getting ready to release in October, but the plan will depend on how this ongoing issue is resolved.
