Weeks before Avatar 2 hits the theaters, the makers have released a brand new trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water that cracks open the world of the sequel even more which reveals that Cameron might just outdo himself. Which would be saying something given his immensely successful career and jaw-dropping movies. The trailer explores the uncharted realms of Pandora while introducing some new characters. Jake Sully, Neytiri, and their kids will have to go to lengths to ensure their survival. Apart from this, the characters are also seen talking about adapting to new rules and feeling like an alien in their newfound land.

The film is scheduled for a grand worldwide theatrical release on 16 December 20222, with the following three sequels to be released respectively on 20 December 2024, 18 December 2026, and 22 December 2028. Made on a whopping budget of $250 million, it is one of the most expensive films ever to be made.

Avatar: The Way of Water is set more than a decade after the events of the first film. It will tell the story of the Sully family, the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure. The title of the film refers to a genetically engineered Na'vi body operated from the brain of a remotely located human that is used to interacting with the natives of Pandora.
