Last week saw 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi's Laabam under late filmmaker S. P. Jananathan's direction hit screens, while the political satire Tughlaq Durbar premiered on Sun TV on the auspicious occasion of Vinayagar Chathurthi. The National Award-winning actor's much-awaited Annabelle Sethupathi opposite leading Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu scheduled for a premiere on September 17 on the DisneyPlus Hotstar streaming platform had a fun-filled trailer released sometime back to a largely positive response. Annabelle Sethupathi, which incidentally marks the directorial debut Deepak Sundarrajan, son of legendary Tamil filmmaker R Sundarrajan, is extensively being promoted, with a special sneak peek video  being released on Thursday ahead of the film's OTT streaming premiere.

The Annabelle Sethupathi sneak peek focuses primarily on Taapsee and Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu, who is playing the antagonist, with the latter appearing as a ghost. We see Taapsee from the present time visiting a royal palace where her past self is shown getting killed in a quick split clip, with a short glimpse of Vijay Sethupathi also being featured. Expectations for the upcoming comedy horror venture are huge as it is set to appeal to audiences of all ages, with DisneyPlus Hotstar as well leaving no stone in promoting the film. Annabelle Sethupathi, which will be shifting across two different time periods, has music composed by Krishna Kishor and will be premiering in five languages - Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

Apart from Taapsee appearing in dual roles, Annabelle Sethupathi produced by Sudhan Sundaram and G. Jayaram under the Passion Studios banner will see Vijay Sethupathi sharing screen space alongside Radhika Sarathkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Devadarshini, Madhumita, Subbu Panchu, Yogi Babu among others in major supporting roles.
