Blockbuster Tamil filmmaker Atlee and wife Priya got together with the elite at the Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant pre-wedding celebrations on Sunday evening, March 3. Among the memorable moments the couple will take back home for a lifetime will be a family selfie with iconic Indian cricketer and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and wife Sakshi Singh, with videos and pictures of their interaction taking social media by storm.
During their time spent together, we see Atlee and MS Dhoni engaged in a conversation before the filmmaker introduces Priya to the superstar cricketer. Fans have been wishing the Tamil filmmaker on his staggering rise to the top of the league after his sensational Bollywood debut, Jawan (2023), which grossed more than 1000 crores in worldwide box office collections. Jawan, which featured Shah Rukh Khan in dual roles as father and son, and Nayanthara and composer Anirudh Ravichander in their Bollywood debuts, elevated Atlee into the big league in his entry in Hindi film industry, who is now one of the most sought-after names in Indian cinema.
With Jawan turning out to be a rousing success, there has been quite a lot of debate on what Atlee's next is going to be as the filmmaker had sometime back hinted about a Hollywood project. Fans will no doubt be waiting to hear what the blockbuster director is planning for his next after his humble beginnings in Tamil cinema with films Raja Rani (2013), Theri (2016), Mersal (2017), and Bigil (2019). Several big business tycoons from around the world, world dignitaries, leading Hollywood and Bollywood A-listers graced the Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant pre-wedding bash at Jamnagar, Gujarat, among whom included Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Sunder Pichai, Ivanka Trump, including Rihanna and Akon to name a notable few. Radhika, daughter of Viren Merchant, CEO of Encore Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., and entrepreneur Shaila Merchant, will be tying the knot with Anant Ambani later this July.
