Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute University Founder-Chancellor Dr. A.C. Shanmugam is visiting Russia from February from 5th to 10th on the invite received from the KURSK State Medical University. As part of his visit, Dr. A.C. Shanmugam has also been invited to give a Special Address at Kursk Regional Duma.
Recognizing our Founder-Chancellor as an Educationist and as a celebrity having won several awards for his services in Education and Health, including the Honorary Fellowship awarded by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCPS), U.K. for the medical services and surgeries offered free of cost by our Dr. A.C. Shanmugam to more than 1.5 lakh economically-backward people in India, through Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore, the KURSK State Medical University has invited him to be the Chief Guest in the University’s 88th Annual Day Function.
During the ceremony as Founder Chancellor of Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, Deemed to be University, Dr. A.C. Shanmugam shall be honoring the Rector of the KURSK State Medical University DR.VIKTOR ANARTOLYEVICH LAZARENKO, RECTOR with a Honorary Degree – Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) for his remarkable services and contributions in the field of medical care and medical education for the last 35 years.
Our Honorable Prime Minister Sri. Narendra Modi Ji had recently announced certain programs for improving the Indian Educational System including the program for Indian Universities to become comparable with the Foreign Universities and has recommended the Indian Universities to partner and collaborate with Foreign Universities in the field of Academics and Research Activities. Based on the directives proposed by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Sri. Narendra Modi Ji and the Ministry of Education, on behalf of Dr.M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, Deemed to be University, shall be signing MoU’s with Kursk State Medical University for partnering on Academics and Research Activities and for Faculty and Exchange Programs.
