Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology held its 31st Convocation at the Institution Auditorium on Saturday, September 3, in Chennai with the blessings of Founder Chancellor Hon. Colonel Dr. Jeppiaar. The Convocation ceremony was presided over by Chief Guest Dr. G Satheesh Reddy, Scientific Adviser to Raksha Manthri, Hon. Chancellor Dr. Mariazeena Johnson, President Dr. Marie Johnson. Vice President Ms. Maria Bernadette Arul Selvan, Vice President Mr. J Arul Selvan, Vice President Ms. Maria Catherine Jayapria.

A total of 2258 graduates received their Undergraduate Degrees, 409 Postgraduates and 153 Ph.D. scholars received their degrees. Among them, 23 students are awarded gold medals for their exemplary performance in academics.
