Thalapathy 64 team's new shooting plans - big surprise for fans!

One of the biggest films in development now, Vijay’s Thalapathy 64 under director Lokesh Kanagaraj with music by Anirudh Ravichander had been announced for a worldwide summer 2020 release. Launched formally last month, the second schedule of the film being billed to be an action drama is currently going on at Delhi for a while now with a majority of the supporting star cast as well participating. That said, it has now been revealed that the film's cast and crew will next be heading to the Shimoga district in Karnataka for major leg of filming that will last well over a month. This schedule will apparently kickstart on December 1 and will carry forward well into the New Year till January 18, 2020. The biggest highlight in this latest report is that the Thalapathy 64 team has been granted permission by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate, Shimoga District, to shoot important sequences in and around the surrounding areas of the Shimoga Jail.

The talk about the team planning to shoot in a real jail and its nearby surroundings is an intriguing aspect and has left many fans intrigued as to what they can expect when the film comes out in theatres next summer. Being produced by Vijay’s close relative, Xavier Britto, under the XB Film Creators banner, Thalapathy 64 includes a massive cast among whom are ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Malavika Mohanan and Angamaly Diaries actor, Antony Varghese, in major starring roles. Apart from Vijay as the lead star, the inclusion of Vijay Sethupathi has left many excited considering this will be the second occasion the versatile actor will be seen in a high profile project after the blockbuster ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth starrer, Petta, earlier this year, in which he went on to have tremendous screen space.
