Post Rajinikanth's statements, many have expressed their views on the development including comedy superstar Vadivelu being asked about the decision during his visit to the Tiruchendur Temple. Vadivelu had addressed the press gathered at the Tiruchendur Temple saying in his trademark humorous style that neither he nor the press or Rajinikanth himself know when he would launch his political party. That said, Vadivelu lauded Rajinikanth's decision about being a backbone and lending support in the form of dual leadership.
