The COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus Pandemic has the entire world in its deadly grip and all the nations are fighting hard to control its spread! Tamil Nadu, which at the beginning of the Corona outbreak had one of the highest number of infected cases, has been taking stringent steps and there has been some sort of control over the spread. However, the numbers are still high, especially in districts like Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore. The TN Government had enforced a complete curfew in 5 districts, within the nation-wide lockdown and it comes to an end, today. However, the TN CM Edappadi K Palanisamy has further taken some more measures to curb the spread of the Virus. This has come out after the CM's consultation with the Collectors of all the districts in the State.

TN CM Edappadi Palanisamy issues strict steps for COVID control

The Chief Minister's Office has released a slew of measures to reduce the suffering of the people, during this Corona outbreak. The number of mobile COVID testing units has now been increased to 10, from the earlier 3, in Chennai. The CM has also ordered that all the houses in Containment Zones be provided with masks, hand sanitizers and 250 gms of disinfectant. The Chennai Corporation has also been ordered to spray disinfectant twice a day, in the Containment and Red Zones of Chennai. Further, to ensure that all the needy people get the basic essentials, the products are to be delivered to their doorsteps. The ration products are to be delivered during specific timings for specific areas, to avoid overcrowding. Our CM has also ordered all district Collectors to make a report on the number of migrant workers from other places, in their towns. A special committee has been formed to monitor the status of the 6 containment zones in Chennai. The daily testing in Chennai has been ordered to be increased to 2000 people.
