The Lovebirds is an upcoming American romantic comedy film starring Kumail Nanjiani, Issa Rae, Paul Sparks, Anna Camp and Kyle Bornheimer. The Lovebirds is directed by Michael Showalter and the screenplay is written by Aaron Abrams and Brendan Gall. The story of the film is written by Abrams, Gall and Martin Gero. This movie is bankrolled by Tom Lassally, Oliver Obst, Todd Schulman and Jordana Mollick under the banners of Paramount Pictures, MRC, 3 Arts Entertainment and Quinn's House. The Lovebirds has music by Michael Andrews, cinematography by Brian Burgoyne and editing by Robert Nassau.

The Lovebirds is about a couple (Issa Rae & Kumail Nanjiani) who experiences a defining moment in their relationship when they are unintentionally embroiled in a murder mystery. As their journey to clear their names takes them from one extreme, hilarious, circumstance to the next, they must figure out how they, and their relationship, can survive the night.
