Thalapathy Vijay’s Master is one of the most expected films of this year, but going by the current pandemic wave, it looks like we will get to witness the film only by early next year. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj of Kaithi fame, Master has been a project that has managed to excite the film buffs ever since its announcement considering the freshness of the team. The fans and general audience were pleasantly taken aback by Vijay’s choice to collaborate with a young gen filmmaker like Lokesh Kanagaraj and the excitement added up when it was announced that Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi will also be a part of the film. Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi will be seen sharing screen space together for the first time and the fans are excitedly waiting to watch the film in the theatres.

Malavika Mohanan, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Das, Andrea Jeremiah, Gouri Kishan, Master Mahendran, KPY Dheena, Ramya Subramanian, Azhagam Perumal, and others form the supporting cast. The film was gearing up for its theatrical release on April 9, but unfortunately, the universe had different plans and the outbreak of Corona virus pushed the film’s release indefinitely. While there were a lot of speculations that Master could have a direct OTT release on a streaming platform, the makers have assured that the movie will release only in the theatres, no matter how many months it takes.

According to the current updates, it is believed that the film could release for the festive occasion of Pongal, next year. Produced by XB Film Creators, Master has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander who has been an instrumental part in keeping the film in constant buzz and hype amidst this unexpected delay.
